ALBANY TO PAY FOR DRUG RAID DAMAGE.(Local)

The city has agreed to reimburse two Albany landlords for damage to apartments they owned during Police Department drug raids.

The city will pay Donnie Lewis $696 to repair damage caused when police raided the basement apartment of a building he owns at 177 Clinton Ave. on June 24. The apartment door and a window were damaged.

In a claim filed with the city, Lewis said he was particularly upset about the damage because it was he who tipped off the police in the first place and …
